Terms and Conditions

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Basely Technologies Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales ("Basely", "we", "us"). By creating an account or accessing the Basely platform you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are accessing Basely on behalf of an employer or company, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Basely provides: Basely Connect — an AI-powered talent matching network for candidates and employers; ContainerView — a Docker-sandboxed technical assessment IDE with AI grading; and Basely SSO — centralised authentication and billing management.

We provide recommendations and scores based on available data but do not guarantee employment outcomes, assessment pass/fail outcomes, or specific business results.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Basely. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at security@basely.ai of any unauthorised access.

As a candidate you agree to: provide accurate information on your profile, resume, and GitHub data; not impersonate another person or submit fabricated credentials; complete assessments independently and without AI assistance unless explicitly permitted by the assessment template; not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract platform data.

As an employer you agree to: post only genuine roles with accurate descriptions; use candidate data solely for the stated recruitment purpose; not discriminate unlawfully in selection; comply with the UK Equality Act 2010 and applicable employment law; not share candidate data outside your organisation without consent.

Employers act as independent data controllers for candidate data they access via Basely. You are responsible for your own GDPR compliance regarding that data.

Paid plans (Starter, Professional, Enterprise) are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are listed in GBP exclusive of VAT where applicable. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date via the billing portal.

Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless you have materially used the service. Contact billing@basely.ai to request a refund.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions are unaffected until their next renewal.

Seat limits apply per plan: Starter (3 seats), Professional (10 seats), Enterprise (unlimited). Exceeding limits requires an upgrade.

Basely, its platform, AI logic, brand assets, design language, and proprietary algorithms are owned by Basely Technologies Ltd and protected by UK and international intellectual property law.

You retain ownership of content you create (your resume, your code, your company data). By submitting content to Basely you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process and display that content to provide the service and improve our AI models using anonymised aggregates.

You must not use Basely to: transmit malware or malicious code; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform; harvest or scrape data without permission; send unsolicited commercial communications; circumvent rate limits or access controls; use the platform in a way that violates applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts in breach of these Terms without notice.

Match scores, assessment feedback, and skill verifications are generated by AI and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice and should not be the sole basis for hiring or employment decisions. Human review is always recommended.

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Basely's total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) £100.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages; loss of profits; or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If you are a consumer in the EEA, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

We encourage resolving disputes informally first. Contact legal@basely.ai. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) before litigation.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email and in-platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance. The current version is always at basely.ai/terms.
